Works on Paper
This
series suggests veiled, watery
environments in which narratives
about contact and communication
reside. These hand pulled prints are
made with many layers of intaglio and
relief plates. I use combinations of
hard ground, soft ground and sugar lift
etching with aquatint, dry point and
litho relief rolls to create scrims of
imagery. With these techniques I can
make marks that range in scale from
minute and meticulous to large
and gestural.
