Paintings
My
paintings tend to reflect my
concerns in a narrative way. Most
of my images derive from the human body, which suggests, quite
literally,
its own language (e.g. gesture and sign) and metaphorically,
the actual
and imagined worlds in which it exists.
My palette and the patterns I repeat
and alter in the paintings attempt to
evoke connections—between the
physical and the psychological as well
as the cellular and the celestial— where
beginnings and endings cease to exist
and the possibility of deformity and
distortion remains constant.
